Why improve dissipation

When an MPPT controller operates for extended periods, its internal temperature increases. Victron MPPT Large devices can operate between -30 °C and +60 °C, but full rated power is maintained up to 40 °C. Above that temperature, heat can affect the available performance. In practice, this means that better thermal dissipation helps to better evacuate heat, reduce the thermal stress on the equipment, and promote more stable operation in demanding installations or those with limited ventilation.
